Ellen and George:
Yellow Freight brought us the mirror packed by Craters and Freighters.
What a fantastic job those guys did in packing the mirror. They lined the whole mirror with sticky plastic to reinforce the glass, wrapped; the whole thing; in foam paper, laid it in a sandwich of plywood and; foam board, then wrapped that sandwich in bubble wrap. Then they built a case for it, constructed again of a sandwich of 1"; styrofoam on all sides, with plywood and planks outside of the foam board, so the case was around 5"; thick and surrounded by reinforcing boards. Then they stood that case on its side on a shipping pallet, and gussetted the case down at both ends to the shipping pallet so that it stood vertically on its side where nothing could touch it, and the pallet could be moved around with a fork lift.
It got here MUCH faster than anticipated, and was immensely well protected. Worth the little bit extra.
Just thought I would let you know
Ellen
Dear John,
After many delays and many months the bookcase arrived today. It was in perfect condition with absolutely no damage and the glass was perfect. Every one involved at this end (including the delivery truck driver) commented on the quality of the packing. On behalf of my Wife and myself I would like to thank you and Rick (I have the packing slip) for the terrific job you did. If you are ever seeking a testimonial from an overseas customer I would be more than happy to provide comments.
Thank you again.
All our best wishes
Ray & Pat Warren
